Brigitte Nielsen was born in Helsingor, Denmark on 15 July 1963. In 1979 she moved to France and Italy where she began her modelling career. In 1984, the Italian producer Dino de Laurentiis contracted her for the film Red Sonja (1985) with Arnold Schwarzenegger. The following year she met Sylvester Stallone and in December 1985 she married him. Meanwhile she shot three other films: Rocky IV (1985), Cobra (1986) and Beverly Hills Cop II (1987) directed by Tony Scott and together with Eddie Murphy, Paul Reiser and Chris Rock. In July 1987 they divorced and Gitte recorded an LP called: 'Everybody tells a story' and sang with Falco a song, 'Body Next To Body'.
